Raised in Germany and trained in Plastic Surgery in Germany at one of the largest complex reconstruction centers in the head and neck region, Thomas Benson holds a German medical degree and specialization in General Surgery and Plastic Surgery at the Hospital das Clínicas of the Faculty of Medicine. from USP, one of the largest centers for head and neck reconstruction.
During his postgraduate period he worked as a Plastic Surgeon in major medical centers in Brazil and abroad. He participates in lectures, teaches courses and congresses in Brazil and Germany.
After recognition of his training and approved in his qualification, he is today the only Plastic Surgeon in Brazil with a Specialist Title by the European Board of Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Benson holds a Ph.D. degree (Ph.D. – Doctor of Medicine) from the University of Hamburg, Germany, and a Ph.D. degree in Medicine from the Universidade de São Paulo (USP).
